Looks like a bit more work till it's ready for the dyno? But then there's always a million things to slow down work like this. I can see that the eye bolt is no longer in place Rob - one less thing to do. And you've now met Big Dave - life will never be the same for you after the bus trip coming up. Animal will have company!!

I'll be shipping down a tool kit to Big Gaz hopefully tomorrow + my camping gear. I'll be packing the Movie Drive with the gear so you will have some movies for the bus ride.

Gaz spent until 2:45am Monday night getting all the wiring reconnected and sorted. Dave and I went over last night to get the car dyno ready.

Radiator is back in here and Dave's giving it a drink.

Here's how we ended up at around 11:30pm - ready to head to the dyno on Thursday. All we need to do to roll it into the bus after the dyno is install the bonnet and front bumper.

The Jag goes on the Dyno in an hour.
Last minute rush last night with my brother Robert with bleeding the clutch cylinders, plug change etc and the found no oil pressure on wind over. Fortunately it was just the mega buck Honeywell sensor that was stuffed so we swapped in a live line and all is good.
Let you all know soon!

Feedback from the dyno room. A few issues with throttle blade adjustment + zeroing the TPS + adjusting the crank trigger 10 degrees back + air gap adjusted. The engine is now idling properly instead of at 5000rpm. Dyno runs now scheduled for approx. 5pm Sydney time. Stay tuned.

Just rang and Gaz's phone went to voicemail so hopefully it's just flat and not bad news!

Just got a message from Gaz,

Sadly it's option 2, injector issues again (still?). Seems we are switching to E85 after yet another injector service tomorrow and dyno on Monday.

Bugger

Is E85 easier on the fuel system than methanol?

Bones,

It doesn't gel like methanol can (will?) if not purged from the system.

Good news, the injectors only needed a clean and dyno day Monday is on.

Turned out after a few more dollars were thrown at the dyno that the issue was not enough current to the injectors and that ay well have been the problem last year too. With the current wound up the car has similar HP to what it did 2 years ago.

I spoke to Gaz at about 8:45 and they were eating breakfast in Burra SA so I assume they are on or close to the salt by now.
