Not this year I'm afraid. Big Gaz has had lots of other things to do.

Ovakil won't be racing either...

Gaz has picked up the motor for Ovakil since it was removed and rectified following his mighty 236 mph effort in the Jag but it is yet to go back into Ovakil. He's had other priorities that have pushed back on Ovakil and the Jag, so.... should be racing next year in one way or another and Ovakil is a lower priority.

I was in Sydney over the weekend and did get out to Big Gaz's Jaguar farm. I witnessed a V12 engine coupled to a Doug Nash 5 Speed sitting in the engine bay of the Shaguar. However....it's a mock up done to see what has to be done to make it happen - quite a bit. Move engine forward a bit, make up new exhausts, radiator placement, etc.

BTW - the Jags seem to be breeding, every time I go there, there are more! Ever checked out the rear view of a 420G? You should!

No Jag this year - probably next year. The Pursuit Special will make a return visit for the commute from camp to lake. The bus will be making the road trip down from Sydney. When the Jag comes down it will have a V12 but probably not the proper big HP one.

If you are coming to Lake G Big Gaz will most likely be at the lake entrance checking wrist tags and stuff. Say hello to him and Big Dave. I'll probably be at the timing van or start line.

Hi all
It's been over a year since the last updates on the jag and it's various engines.
What's the latest on the Jag and is the blown engine back in the Ford yet?

Well, after waiting three years for a freshen up i finally have the rebuilt Jaguar V12 in my shed. It is bored and stroked to 6 litres, comp about 15:1 so obviously on methanol/E85 and NA for this iteration.
I am getting Dick at Savy Motorsport in Melbourne to make up a dry sump pan for it as well as supplying a four stage Savy pump. Dick is fitting the 60-2 trigger wheel to an ATI balancer using a machined hub to mount to the Jag crank snout. He will also make the bracket to mount the oil pump and alternator and maybe a crank support in front of that. At this stage the front engine plate will allow for the bolt patterns to mount two Vortech superchargers on the next blown engine.
Once the sump is finished i can make up the engine mounts and gearbox mounts with some certainty but it looks like the engine will come forward 60mm from standard position.
Engine pipes will come after that in approx 1 1/2 in diameter.
Still the oil tank, cooling system and EFI fuel system to sort after that. Lots to do but starting to get exciting!
Not for for 2021 but definitely the following year.
