Thanks for the advice and I might take you up on the offer! I am going to have a rethink though on the design first. I "might" be able to go draw through - not only do I have to consider all the above but also the float crushing under pressure and leakage through the slide etc. So the pain of trying to fit draw through is quickly becoming less that making what I have work

and they have solved the problem off filling the gap between the leg shields while still maintaining legs and arms visible

Status update:

Firstly it is great seeing all the other blown projects coming along nicely!!!

At Vespa Labs, extensive simulation and modelling of the effort required to get the scoot supercharger ready in 10 weeks has come up with the following conclusion (with an accuracy of 99.9% probability):

ain't gonna happen

So I am now focusing on just having fun at the lake (MPS/G 250) and I have another year of fun to get the supercharger fitted and humming nicely.

Sorry to hear you are running tight on time. We know exactly what you are up against. We should be starting our bike in the next couple of weeks. Then getting it on the dyno ASAP. That will be the big test, so many unknowns. Hopefully the crank stays in the bike.

so at the moment the only streamlining is the small hump on my leathers. Does that mean with an unblown engine (which is still a Vespa), no additional screen and no hump I can run as M/G 250cc? Current record 99.042?

edit: as far as I can tell from looking at the rules I do qualify in the Modified Production - 2014 just got more interesting
