2009 Speed Week Pics/Results

Hi
We have at least 2 Kiwi riders playing in the salt this year. Allan Thorenson is back for his third year in a row. He is running his Black Thunder Racing ZX14. But this year he is running it in the 1650CC MPS-F class.
So far his best run appears to be a 198.702mph run.
Joining Allan on the salt this year is Dean Veale and his Busa based 1650 A-G class bike. Although this is Dean's first time on the salt he has and is doing us Kiwi's proud. He was in impound on Monday with a 193.097mph run on a 191.590mph record. Dean was unable to backup the record the next morning. But he must have been back in impound on Tuesday because his run sheet shows a run of 197.776mph.
Dean backed up his record run on Wednesday morning with a new record in the 1650 A-G class of 194.398mph.
Here are the two Kiwi bikes just before leaving for the salt.
He is a pic I found of Dean on the salt...thanks to the person who snapped it.
So keep an eye out for the Kiwi riders. We are following their exploits closely over here in NZ.
Thanks
Richard

Big Nob Norm
Hi Chris,
Word has it that they split a bore on Norm's open pass and had to withdraw from racing.
