Aussie Invader Simulation

Post by DLRA »

Received this in the email today and thought a few may appreciate a squiz...

Hi
We have a 3D Graphics guru on the Aussie Invader team called Mike Annear and he has created a movie for the New Scientist website. They are also publishing an article in their magazine on the project, so keep an eye out for it. I have uploaded a small version of the movie on to the Aussie Invader website. Thought it was good and you might want to take a look (sound coming soon).

Please feel free to pass it on to others.
Kind regards

At the risk of being harangued yet again for expressing an interest in and an appreciation of thrust powered cars, I have to say that is one mighty fine looking streamliner and I wish Roscoe and his team every success with the project.

The simulation makes it look all too easy doesn't it?

A bit funny how the car nudes up halfway through the run though

If you think that is funny, check out Bloodhound's latest video:

Basically they are admitting it is simply a plane without wings.

This even got a brief mention in MX of all places! No mention of their Australian competitors for the record though, you would think they could have at least put a sentence in about Roscoe and co.

Go Roscoe!

Here's a link to some publicity footage for him:

Hopefully this time the orientation of all the things that have to line up will be correct and he will have a beautiful safe record breaking run.

 Watermelons......... Ya not wrong

Here,s the good bit.
SWEDEN.... "HAD " the only plant in the world that produced hydrogen peroxide in the quantities needed.
But it "exploded " last year.
So weve had to change our plans .....
Now we are are going to fill it with 3 tonnes of liquid oxygen and dash of kerosene

Yep ...Might want to get them watermelons chrome plated..

GO ROSCO.........   8)

It's starting to make an F111 jet engine look good! They should be very cheap in a week or two.

Cheers
