Hi guys, I'm just after some pointers for things to look at when preparing a street car (or street-ish car) to run on the salt.
I'm not going after records or anything so I'm not so much interested in modifications to get more speed, just safety requirements and anything I may need to do to fit into an appropriate category.
The cars in question are Nissan 300ZX Z32s, I have an Australian delivered normally aspirated car which I hope to get somewhere close to 150MPH and the other two are twin turbos with longer diffs so they are looking at a bit more speed again.
I gather wheels can be an issue so I'll have to look into that and also appropriate tyres. What other things will we need?
Thanks.

Here's a link to the rulebook....go to safety euip. There's a check-list at the back which is helpful.

...few understand what I'm trying to do , but they vastly outnumber those who understand why..
