I've been racing/rallying tin tops for over 40 years. I could never afford/justify proper scales, and have always used the old 4x bathroom scales, with homemade levers, for weighting racecars. My 13yo grandson has just informed me that (with a lot of help from his dad- and no doubt with some expected from Poppa Denis!) he wants make the move from go karting, to formulae vee. SO, with a second racecar in the stable, real scales might be the go. Ian Boettcher (B'ne) has QUANTUM ONE scales (1500 lbs per pad) for $1100.00
Has anyone had experience with this product, or any other budget type scales.

Call Chris Hanlon. He bought into a set of scales with a few other blokes. Can't remember the brand of scales.
