Hi Trevor
Here's a web address for a couple of pages featuring comments from Tom Burkland on the subject of cockpit design but more particularly on the importance of getting your centre of pressure behind your centre of gravity ...so you can see where you're going instead of where you've been....reading up on anecdotal evidence is the best way to familiarise yourself with the issues at hand and the potential problems of what you might design( the truth is someone somewhere will have thought about or prototyped an idea like yours whatever it might be) , it is in your best interests to enquire after their health since, Burkland backs up his theories with a couple of short clips

Form follows function in design and the more time you spend looking at what others have built the quicker you will see common elements coming out in your design...ultimately you want to be fast , and beautiful.....
Good luck with the disease mate , don't waste time going to your own doctor 'cause the only place it can be treated is Lake Gairdner.

Re: Vehicle weight balance
Vehicle weight balance force which exerted on the hitch ball by the trailer couple.Maximum loaded vehicle weight -its sum of curb weight, accessory weight, vehicle capacity weight, production options weight.Always trying to use the proper size tire/weight rating for the trailer & maintain manufacturers recommended tire pressure.Trevor : DLRA 136 wrote:Can anybody assist with theory and or suggestions as to a fore and aft weight balance
