Fire System

Post by 600dlra »

Ok,time to organise the fire system for the car-AA/GC.I am thinking of using 2 x 10lb starter kits from Coldfire.I noticed that on a few cars this year.
What seems to be the best/easiest way to incorporate the fire system activation/electrical shutdown?
I am open to suggestions on all of this, but I am keen to get things happening.
Thanks in advance,
Ian

Welcome aboard, which year rulebook are you reading?
Coldfire are perfect but elec shutdown can be independent of fire system activation.

2015.
3.Q All electrical & fuel systems must shut down totally on activation of the fire suppression system to help
prevent re-ignition sources.
Have I misinterpreted this?
It would make life simpler.

Your right. Its still in the Aussie book, not the SCTA book. I thought we took it out. I have not seen this enforced at scruitineering and that's why I question it. Easy enough to do with a micro switch that triggers your inertia switch circuit.
