Honda Blackbird steering damper

Post by 1221 » Thu Aug 11, 2016 11:24 pm

I plan to run a Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird next year in either P/P or M/G 1350 and obviously must fit a steering damper. Here lies the problem: these bikes have a reputation of being extremely stable ( one of the reasons I chose this model) and the standard reply when I approach the gurus of motorcycle suspension around town with a request for advice is " Why the hell do you want to fit a damper?" Nothing commercial is available and although I can usually nut out a solution, this one has me beat as there isn't a great deal of room to play in. Has anyone ever done the job or have any practical suggestions? Thanks, John
