Motorcycle Wheelbase

Post by Stayt`ie »

hay boys and girls, here is something to be aware off,,, in the new rules for modified production class, it states that the maximum wheelbase is not to exceed the oem specifications plus 10%,,, this tells me that if you have a set off 6" over bolt in swingarm extensions, you will have to run in special construction class, as 6" over will put you over 10%, not much over, "but over",,, example my zx12r`s wheelbase (by the workshop manual), is listed at 57.09", so plus 10% = 62.79",,, 57.09" + 6" =63".... dosent matter what wheelbase you have the percentage increase will put you over...
i thought with the popularity of these 6" over bolt in extenshions that you should be made aware of this... :)
