Firewall

Just reading some material in the rulebook when I came across the firewall requirements.
With my production firewall in my VN Commodore being made of plastic am I good to go or would I have to replace it with a steel firewall? I am not looking to modify the firewall in any way, shape or form and all holes are sealed as factory.
