Annular discharge carbies

Post by Coops200ad »

Could someone explain to me the difference between annular discharge carbies and so called normal carbies. Opinions would be welcome as I have just had a 750cfm annular discharge carb recommended by my engine builder but when I went to buy one the bloke wouldnt sell/recommend or even source one for me. His reasoning included, "None of the drag racers use them." and that "They were only good for shopping trolleys not performance use. "
Any advice or comments appreciated.

Alot of the street drag guys in sydney use them but I couldn't tell you why or what's the difference in performance.

Thanks for providing those carby sites. All information is good at this stage. I've ended up with a 750cfm dual bowl feed vac sec from a mob called www.xtremefuelsystems.com.au . See if that feeds the Monster. I'll let everyone know if the carb works out OK. Their prices are reasonable and they deliver quickly.
