Hey being lazy (have design software) I'm chasing a set of dimensions for some expansion chambers to suit a stock or close to suzuki T500 (have motor on the way but wont come with pipes. I've drawn up and built several pipes in the past for custom ported motors using software but why re invent the wheel if its out there already. Had a look on the web but have come up blank. Thought I'd have a crack at hydroforming this time insted of rolling.

I thought about a T500 but they are getting a bit hard to find or too good to wreck.

Have you had a look at this site?

Yeah I got a basket case motor missing bits and I'm putting together a stockish motor for a little project Rusty kustom bobber thing. Thanks for the link was on there last night before I posted up the question here , missed the bit with specs for tuned pipe hidden in one of the articals on a 1970 bike . Thanks I had another look today and found the pipe specs will bash a set out and see how they turn out. Going to try and hydro form the whole pipe minus the stinger and weld correct pipe size for the stinger.

What about a 2 into 1 chamber? Good mid range but limits top end HP. Shouldnt be a problem with a mild T500.

The chamber software I use has the option for 2 or 3 into 1, probably for the snowmobile market.

Some for a TR500. Might be a bit peaky?

"Also enclosed are measurements for 1984 Suzuki wc pipes I have just found in my files, these are Suzuki data. I made a set for guy who fitted them to his aircooled t500 racer he did a back to back test on a rolling road, just hung them on to try without changing any settings gave a 10bhp increase at the top.

Good tuning all,
cheers Dave Maskell.
