rule clarification

Post by hawkwind »

Reading the latest rule book , for a streamliner car they can have more than one engine ,question how many more than one ? 2,3, ,4? the rule book does not make this clear. ....... Also I take it that motorcycle engines can be used.as other vehicles have used motorcycle engines in cars previously thanks

Jim knapp who has been to our lake and is interviewed in the doco ," the big white dyno " , runs the barnyard bearcat liner to 300 . It has 3 bike engines behind each other , 2 linked together the other running its own chain back . I once asked how he sync's his engines ," whichever way they end up once their in " was the reply.

SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION motorcycles - two or more engines
For STREAMLINER motorcycles - Any combination of motorcycle engines permitted. No more than four (4) engines are permitted. Maximum total engine displacement is unlimited.
Some SIDECAR motorcycle classes allow for multiple engines

For cars (with 4 wheels) motorcycle and multiple motorcycle engines are permitted in some classes.
"Only Streamliners and Unlimited Diesel Trucks may use more than one engine at the same time. "
