Forum problems ? Logon Scammers ?
Twice recently I have gone to log onto the forum and been greeted with a message about to many failed logon attempts. I have had to submit the code to access the forum. Looks to me like some one most likely wanting to SPAM the DLRA forum using my details and I wonder if any one else has had this problem recently. I have sent a couple of PMs to the Forum admin on the subject.

I've had the same problem.
I nearly had a psychic girlfriend but she left me before we met.

Ok well that explains a lot. Well at least the logon code system is working to keep the scammers from accessing our logon details. Lucky GW, do you know where he went ?REAL Stan wrote:GW has been away overseas having fun.DLRA 112 wrote:GW has not answered my PM's so I hope he see this topic.

G'Day Guys,
When I returned and went to use the admin login for the first time I experienced exactly the same thing as you did.
This is a security feature protecting all accounts on the forum.
Sure the scammers can harvest the user id's, but they only get 3 goes to guess a password, then they get the same message. (Ha!)
I'm still getting lots of dodgy applications to join the forum each day, but they can't do any more than make the application.
It's then up to me to vet each one. Fortunately the new forum software has some nice little investigative tool for me to be able to determine the origin of these applications, most of the dodgy ones come from China or India.
There is one change of password I'm sitting on at the moment because I believe it to be false. If you knew who it was you would all say "yep that would be right"
Oh by the way I've been doing it tough, slogging it out acclimatising myself in preparation for Speed Week in Vanuatu.
Wasn't all beer and skittles though, we did have a 6.9 earth quake and a cyclone, very entertaining.
This was where we stayed -

Did you have the lap top with you ??? I can tell you it is Bl##DY frustrating every time you go to logon to find some one has been trying to use your account to get in. Nice to know I'm not the olny one with this issue.
