DLRA General Meeting

Post by DLRA »

DLRA General meeting which is to be held on Sunday the 23rd of September at White Rose Receptions, 725 High Street, Thornbury, lunch $10.00 per head. I'm guessing, but I's say starting at 11:00am.

Is there any chance of scheduling these in advance? It'd be nice to be able to know in advance to book tickets, arrange for the weekend off, etc...

Thanks

Too short notice. Not very well organised for people from interstate that might want to attend or for that matter people in Vic.

What about people that dont check the site?? Makes it seem like a closed shop.

Perhaps the next meeting date should be decided and announced at the end of each meting so we all know the date well beforehand.

Message from the committee
it was announced on page 5 of the last newsletter (Issue 43 July 2012) and emailed out on the 2nd of August, mailing was done just after that date, which was six weeks ago
Now, I just checked and I think I might have missed putting that newsletter on the forum, but it certainly went up on the website. (http://www.dlra.org.au/newsletter.htm) and was promoted on the web site home page.
From this page, for subscribers and financial DLRA members they can download the PDF version of the newsletter via a password protected page.
For anyone else they can download or view the text only version of the newsletter for free.

Just a reminder, to get the electronic newsletter (PDF) sent to you in an email you need either have been a subscriber or a financial member of the DLRA, either way you would have been paying a $25 annual fee.
I have been posting the text only version here on the forum as another way of keeping people informed. What I can do is make a section for just the newsletter, which may make finding it easier.

If you want to be on the mailing list, email Carol (carol@castlemaine.net)
If you have changed email addresses recently, email Carol (carol@castlemaine.net)

Another meeting I am going to have to apologise for. A little more notice would be good.

Sounds good, now I understand what I have to do. But I am not the only one that missed it.

Just sent through my details, so now I know I will be kept in the loop in the future.

Simon, I have now tested your user id to get access to the newsletter part of the forum and it worked fine.
So I am confused as to what you problem is.

Here is the link to the new newsletter section of the forum, please try it yourself and let me know the result.
http://www.dlra.org.au/forum/viewforum.php?f=34

To get access to the PDF (full colour with pictures) version of the newsletter;
1. go to http://www.dlra.org.au/newsletter.htm
2. click on the link - Subscribers login HERE!
3. On the subscribers login page - click the Enter button
4. Type in the password (which I will send you in a PM)
And you will be presented with a page that has a link to every newsletter since February 2000

Note to other financial DLRA members, if you want access to the PDF version of the newsletter, please contact Carol, she will check your financials and then send you the password.
