Hi Guys & Girls,
Though I'd intro myself.
I'm a transplanted kiwi living in Melbourne. I've been to Bonneville and seen the racing there (2001). I met up with a couple of kiwi teams racing over there that year. I think I caught salt fever then.
I'm half way through building a hot rod, so who knows when/if I'll start a salt car.
My plan is to visit the salt here and run in street class. Then maybe build that car up into something like an altered or competition coupe.
Being a hot rodder ultimately I'd like to run a fuel roadster.
Like I say though I'm just a day dreamer a present, doing plenty of sketches on the back of scrap paper at work (my paper lakester should break the sound barrier!!!).
So hold on for lots of stupid questions.
Fingers crossed I make it out onto the salt and run one day.
Nige

Welcome aboard Nitro,
Sorry to have to tell you this - you may want to sit down - there's no cure for Salt Fever. And it seems to intensify each year, around about March.
In Melbourne there's a couple of club meetings each year. One in Feb and the other mid-year. Come along, for some fever group therapy.
