Ok she goes to the dyno tomorrow and I won't be there.............Sometimes work sucks.
All other details done apart from fit the moons on the race rims. That will be sorted through the week.

Bridgey and team are left to pack everything and transport both the F100 and the Datsun 240Z, tools spares etc.

Just holding my breath now.

Not long to go.

I believe what the good Doctor said when he stated "Its easier to shoove a chest of draws up a frogs arse than get a Sedan to run 200"

Well the Aussie record in C/PP is 120+mph, but we are boldly aiming at the Bonneville record held by the Big Red Truck (Chock Full of Nuts Team) They are our direct competition and I hope we can scare them.
They set it at 184+MPH and they hold every record from C to A.

This is a very tough ask and the 82 F100 is arguably the worst truck shape we could have started with...... A note kids; just cause its in the driveway doe'snt mean its the cheapest way to go racing fast.

The big white dyno will tell all.

Chris.
Looking at it scientifically Hano it indicates that you need to find a big frog, a small chest of drawers or give it one almighty shove.

pity we can't run two-up at the lake I reckon someone could draught you guys to a serious speed.........

Good to see you're ready.

The tank is in fifty million pieces, the motor is elsewhere..... but I did nail the chute release yesterday...it's the highest tech piece of equipment we've ever run, a rip-cord.
...few understand what I'm trying to do , but they vastly outnumber those who understand why..

Deadlines are amazing, time evaporates at almost light speed the closer they get. This is the first time ever we've been this early

All the best Doc, sleeps overated you know, your gunna make it. If you leave Thursday and don't count today it gives you 240 whole hours left, less 3 hrs a night for sleep = 210 hrs.
Might have to call in sick.
Is that motor easy to fit.

Well the Effie survived the Dyno just fine. No leaks and made the power I expected. The only problem was flicking belts off on decel but sorted that out. It blew the arse completley out of both there big dyno mufflers and they got lots of noise complaints from the neighbours. I wanted it dynoed with no mufflers but they declined. You get that with the big jobs :D :D

The correct diff turned up 2 days after I left for work so will run the taller one first up. I'd prefer to go the other way as you know if your banging on the rev limiter in top you can go taller. When you start too tall you tend to be guessing a bit.
Its a far easier thing for you mad bikers to change ratios and l envy you there a bit.

I'm packing 4 different tyre size options and 2 diff ratios so these should give us all the ratios we need to nail it provided we get enough runs.
We have 4 drivers in the truck so it will have to be doing laps. I think whoever has the biggest balls wil get the biggest speed but this will depend on traction in top gear.
Being a new build we don't know how it will either handle or grip yet.

The guys in the team are busy packing, sealing all the orifices for the trip and getting ready to roll.
