Airfield

Post by Greg Watters »

Ok after our rainout i have a renewed enthusiasm to get an airfield practice or shakedown track in use.
Back in contact with Corowa airfield , They have 2 runways, 1.3 and 1.5 km long, http://www.maplandia.com/australia/airp ... a-airport/
Going to try and get this going for April , still to find out available dates, and other requirements such as insurance
IF this works out who would be interested in a day or weekend ..

we'll likely be in pieces again by then......but there's always a chance
...few understand what I'm trying to do , but they vastly outnumber those who understand why..

Thanks Rob ... with less interest it gets easier, Council can waive the fees if its a non profit venture and if there are no spectators insurance becomes easier too , Talked to the airfield manager today and probably going for a look early next week
Just about all of April is available but there may be a drag meet at Easter
So i intend having a run around mid April. as i want to be sure some changes to the bikes are not effecting handling before shipping to the US in late June
and anyone is welcome to join in :D
