It's a great spot for low(ish) speed testing. We got up there on the Tuesday that we were meant to be at speed week and finally got a run in our beast. You can see what the tracks like in this video:

Was pretty good. The eastern end gets a little undulated, and unfortunately we had heavy side-gusts of wind, but as a location ~1.5 hours from Adelaide its great.

Cheers,
Leigh

Nice vid. What speed were you able to achieve on the track?
If ever I go missing I would like my photo put on beer bottles instead of milk cartons. This way my friends will know to look for me.

~120km/hr. We forgot the SD card for the datalogger, so didn't get exact speed...only what we got from the chase car.

Unfortunately, the length of track wasn't the issue, but rather strong gusting winds coming side on & some weave issues. Was perfect for a good shakedown run though.

We have 15 entries so far. There are limited power outlets for camping , so I would suggest people take their own generators if power is required. Michael Brixton did a few test runs today & he advises there is between 600 & 800 meters of good track, depending on your braking capability. Cheers, Pete DLRA #6.

We will be there around 8.30 Sat morning. Once a few have arrived there will be a briefing & we can all work out a few fine points on how the meet should be run. Everyone's input would be great. There are a lot of ideas & I am sure we can all work together to make the weekend a success. See you there, Pete DLRA #6.

Looks like we have around 20 entries for next weekend, no one from interstate, though. Weather looks promising, too. I will have some 2011 event t-shirts for sale at the track, along with stubby holders, caps, 2011 21st anniversary stickers & posters. There will also be raffle tickets for the Tag Heuer stop watch valued at $1350. See you on Saturday! Pete DLRA #6.
