Thank you for asking the question
I'm sorry that the questions so hard
I left them here I could have sworn
These are my speedway days
Slowly being eaten away
Just another play for today
Oh but I'm proud of you, but I'm proud of you
There's nothing left to make me feel small
Luck has left me standing so tall
old
Always believe in your Speedway
You've got the power to go
You're into midget cars
Always turning left, because you are
old

EDIT:....er , they're the Lyrics to "Gold"....just sayin'

At Bonneville Speed Week 2011, the HOT ROD/So-Al Racing Camaro was suposed to run 250 mph or so with a 492ci, Vortech-blown big-block. The engine swallowed a carb vent tube on the first run, killing a few pistons. To recover, the team got the engine running on two cylinders and set a record of just 32 mph in the small-displacement class of F/Classic Blown Fuel Altered. This video is of a test run on two cylinders in the push-start area.

Phillip Eggleston member 850 who runs a 1966 Triumph Bonneville APS/G 750 at 127.325 mph at lake gairdner was a bit of a hit at bonneville .
The first triumph he walked past was running like a dog and after his help and recomendations there first run was straight to impound and resulted in a record . later that night a lady came by and photographed mine and wayne pickles teeshirts and in the conversation mentioned that hubby was stressed as his triumph was not happy .We arranged to meet the next day in the pits and phil put another bike into impound which resulted in a sidecar record going to our new canadian friends , richard and daniella . He sure was a hit and was staying on for BUB so i'm sure there are more stories to tell

Richard Assen ran 261+change for a new AMA and FIM record at the shootout
Kim ran a down leg only at 200 naked-- return cancelled due to weather at WOS
Greg had lots of problems. I don't remember if he had a good run
Jim Higgins (rides with Kim & Greg) went over 200 naked for a red hat
I ran 112 at BUB with ignition troubles and 96 in 2/10ths mile at WOS and siezed. Fitted a new cylinder and piston and larger jet for the next day but was rained out.
I think that's what happened--- it's been a BIG 4 weeks
LOOK OUT BONNEVILLE 2012
cheers Bones
