APS/G 250

Postby AuotonomousRX » Fri Dec 09, 2011 7:14 pm

Hi another Smoker at The Lake.

I ran my Suzuki RGV 250 at the Lake in 2010. I ran in M/G 250 and had a ball.

This year I made some changes to try and push the speed a bit higher and have a trouble free run in 2011. But as we know that did not happen.

So I am having a crack at moving to APS/G class in 2012. A modded Aprilia RS250 Engine in my RGV chassis that has also been changed, + a Homebrew Fairing/Tail.

The build is going OK and I will post more info as I get a some new pics and the bits and pieces arrive.

Thanks
Pete RGV#866

Now that I have finally decided how I am going to approach the Body Work I got a few Pics.

I have made a Ally Tube and Flat to help get the shape I want to the 6mm Divinicell. It bolts to the Seat Frame. The Front is next.

Here is the 125mm Extension I had done to the Swingarm.

I bit the bullet and got these Pipes I will tell you if I am happy after the Dyno but I think they look sweet.

That's it so far, I got all the engine bits, now it's back to the shed

Hey Pete, nice mods to the read end. Swing arm is very well made.

JM pipes (or any other after market) sound fantastic at full noise.

Cant wait to see and hear it at the lake next year.

Hey Dave

The Glass Work is next so lets hope it stays "sleek".

I tried to make as simple as I could so it will hopefully push the air around and over me.

I am getting a Windscreen made up to fit.

I got the Jolly Moto Pipes that exit each side so they can fit inside the tail.

Stay Cool

One Wossner Single Ring Forged Piston.

I will be running Higher Compression Heads 13.5:1 so these should assist in keeping things together.

After abandoning final finish in shock

I am back in shed and this is the little bike without anything on at first start up. I had a little drama starting it, all my own doing  Starts first time now :D
