Roads are closed now which looks like blocking our lake inspection trip this weekend. :( :( :(
Rain has been falling steadily over the area all day and now forecast to continue for the next couple of days.

The evaporation rate is something like 50mm/day, I wouldn't bother worrying just yet.
I owe, I owe, so off to work I go.

To those people emailing me in regards to this thread.

I am sorry, I didn't mean to offend or ruffle feathers, just trying to get an idea of whats going on out there as a first timer.

Super excited about the event.

Just having a look at your web site -- verry nice
But you better update it. The "wourld record" for a 125 is 186 mph--- Buddfab streamliner.
Looks like you'll be in APS/G 125 the record here is 125 and depending who you race with is 135 @SCTA and 133 @ BUB.
lots of luck-- see you on the salt
cheers Bones

Is there actually a spelling mistake of "wourld"? I couldn't find one.....

I'm just in the a/g 125 class and not the streamlined class, and just competing for the aus record here obviously until the dlra are world record certified. One day though maybe bonneville, hence the optimistic "world record" website title. Haha.

hi all, well i should be home in adelaide now but im still at challenger gold mine, the road in an air strip have both been closed due to rain, it has'nt stopped in 2 an a half days the cloud level is low and it has cool down from mid to high 30s to about 20 there is a light breeze but it is still spitting regurlay. have heard the surounding areas have had up tp 100mm today, im not sure what is happening south of here but we still have 2 an a half weeks and the ground drys pretty quick up here with a bit of sun and wind, so fingers crossed, any news from wudina ceduna way would be great. The evaporation rate is more like a foot in February when smoking hot, the evaporation rate when it is pissing down is like #### all, stop the speculation and we want a report from the lake surface .. no more conjecture ............
Don't Worry, It only seems Kinky the first time..
