I've worked out why it's taken so long to get to this.--- sitting, looking and pondering doesn't work nearly as well without alcohol.

But it runs good so now only some tidying up and it's ready to go.
Alex's bike is still getting new radiators and ducting, one that's done fit the engine and it.s wright to go.

Very nice work Bones, hopefully see it in the flesh at the lake.

Looks like a set of start rollers.

Yes-- starting rollers, powered by a 9'' grinder. fantastic at home or where you have 240v but my little generator won't drive them.
You need 3kw to be succesfull. I'll work on a 12v system later.
Sometimes the old piston port yam needs some speed to start.
John I'll bring some pics of my liner---- you show me yours and I'll show you mine.

I C. I was thinking (hoping)it was a small portable Dyno. Or at least some thing you could run the bike up on with some load.

I just saw that the meet has been cancelled. Very sorry to hear that. A lot of work gone down the drain. Has the DRLA ever thought about a date change or a rain out date?

Hey Hoof
Yes, we are working on things at the moment but being a national park and all the rest of it thre are a bunch of hoops to sump.
I'm pretty sure I will be coming over this year. Ride my mates vincent sidecar and maybe a turbo gsxr1000.
I want to do speed week,BUB, El Mirage and WOS. I have to check dates.
I'll have another go at the weslake too.I got the vibration better and will use some sort of scavenge pump for the head
What meetings are you doing this year?

Started of a build thread on the LSR forum, there's a bit more traffic there when I'm chasing advice.

Give a shout when you heading up to Willowbank, it would be good to catch up.

Hey Bones! Hope you get a handle on the Weslake. Way ahead of ring a dings. I'm hoping to do all the El Mirage meets and SpeedWeek. SpeedWeek is the main target. It would be nice to do BUB and WoS but realistically my finances won't run to that. I built a new body for the sidecar. Much like it was but a bit more of it. Trying to see if the air will flow a bit better and I'll get the bugger over 130. I'm cheating actually. I want to run in the 650 class but the only choices in pushrods are Triumphs or BSAs and the Weslake is way ahead even with a smaller capacity. I got a 90mm GM piston and another barrel. Bored it out and am assembling it right now. Should be all together tonight or tomorrow. It will give me 544cc. Enough to put it legally in the 650 class.

Which El Mirage meetings are you planning to make? What class will the Vinnie run in? 1000cc SC/PG?
