Pete
The engine in the car is a 1955 Chrysler 301 cube Windsor block with '55 Hemi heads fitted.
The 301 is a "square" engine with the bore & stroke identical.
Greg,
I have 6 early Hemi engines, all were imported by myself from Washington State.
Very interesting

Very nice Cookie , one day i may drop in just to drool over them,
Always had Chryslers till lately when sold them for racing funds
best was a never ending project Hemi orange 70 RT SE charger with a 4 barrell 440 magnum (had a 6 pack ready to fit too )
favorite was a VJ ute with a 440

Thanks for support Chris. Lots of hurdles in the way only makes life more interesting doesn't it?
I don't know Lance, but know quite a few pro riders and even they think i'm mad. Motorpacing is a dying sport..it used to be huge.
Helmets are Ok....Leathers are being looked into. No way could i ride in my off the shelf Moto leathers. Without fuel involved i'm hoping there is a case for stretch panels to be allowed ,maybe kangaroo hide leather ( lighter/thinner/stronger) is another option.
I'm not even sure about salt's suitability for this. All previous records have been on bitumen...Edwards airforce base in USA/ autobahn in Germany/ M1 in England....
I have a motorbike which i am setting up for training/ pacing, a 1977 z1000 Kwacka. Enough power to do required speeds, long and heavy and stable.. Donated to the cause by a mate...I built it for him 20 years ago!
Will start a build thread when i get into it. At present all effort is being put into Uni' studies...well, mostly.

If its got b**bs or wheels its bound to be trouble!

Re: What are you Planning???
Ive got a project that ive been sitting on for a while. RZ250 Yam and a 350 Banshee top end with some chambers. I bought it as a project from a guy who had lost interest. RZ frame, Aprillia RS250 Mk.II front end and RGV gull wing swing arm. I was going to make it a track bike but im probably getting a bit old to go round corners at silly speeds so it will make a good candidate for the MPS/G 350 class im hoping. Pics to follow.
I hope it will be louder than my RGV
