Working Bee

Post by DLRA »

There will be another Working Bee at the lake between Christmas and New Year again this year and we are looking for volunteers to help us prepare for a big 2016.
This is a great opportunity to have a couple of days away, do a little bit of work which benefits the Club and have a bit of a laugh and a drink at night. You don't have to have any particular skills or trade experience, just be prepared to give it a go and lend a hand.
Remember many hands make light work!

Contact Trevor Beck or Rob Carrol for more information
Keep the shiney side up........

Helped load the trailer the other day with the flash looking unit for the sewage. Keen to know how the working bee at the salt went and if that trailer arrived OK.

Evaporation pit was 2/3 done and some unexpected rock popped its head up  . The excavation crew will go back up and finish the "Olympic" pool before the race meeting, probably later this week actually :D I will probably travel up there with him :D .
Genset change over switch was installed and original Dorman genset connected and ready to go :D . Ran out of connecting cable  but some has been sourced and will be available for March meeting :D .
Portable toilets have been repaired and only require a few quick parts install and all 9 will be functional again :) Additional portable toilets were brought over during the Christmas break now giving us a total of 11 toilets for the salt
The racers camp is generally in good nick but the rain water tanks are not totally full
Bring your drinking water with you if you can please
See you all there in Feb. :D :D :D :D :D
Cheers,
Trevor

Evaporation pit is now dug and requires fencing to be completed. Without this pit functioning no racie . A crew will be visiting the lake for a final inspection around Feb 18th, then will come a full and informed report on everything that matters. Salt was looking very good Christmas time so should all be good in Feb.

Trevor
