Hey Pete
Do you have a picture of you on the bike when you are tucked in?
From the photos it looks like your head will be above the steering head and your shoulders too close to the bars to
give a good tucked riding position.
I think this new chassis is a great start for some good speeds.
My worn out 350 went 140 and I think your chassis is potentially better with the rear engine than my front engine.

Hey Bones

Your Build Philosophy about Low Slung Bikes was one of the many factors in making this Bike ......

I have had a Computer malfunction and can't access my old pics .....

Yes my Helmet sits on top of the triple tree .....

but thanks to the Leading Link Forks I am using, the bottom of the Triple tree is lower than top of the front wheel .......

When I did a comparison with other pics of Low Slung Bikes using dropped Telescopic Forks, I looked at the Helmet Position relative to the top of the Wheels ......

and my Helmet is in fact lower than most .....

and I get a very tight, narrow tuck with the Drop Handlebars I've made ......

The Engine is ready to go again ..... I found the Power Valves where not quite opening fully, all good now ....

Less than 1mm Dave but still an obstruction.

They were fully open as far as adjustment but it was the shape of the section at the rear of the Power Valves I had to trim to match the ceiling of the exhaust port ..... (that is the silver on the PV in the pic)

Now when the are fully open they are actually fully opened .....

It might explain the difficulty I have had getting the usual "over rev" in my engine.

(I have a second set of valves in case) :wink:

Experimental New Pipes designed to lift the Peak Power/RPM x 1000 ......

I used the MOTA 2 Stroke Software (Thanks Dave) and many many hours to come up with the shape ....

It will be interesting to see if the small loss of Torque or the Rise in Peak RPM will win out ......

Depends on how far torque falls away from hp "after peak",, the closer you can keep them, the more top speed you will see 🙂

Ron with my current Engine configuration, the peak of the Torque/HP occurs at the about same RPM, HP "holds on" for extra 100 RPM, then both dramatically fall off ala a normal Tuned 2 Stroke Curve ......

I have found the RGV/Aprilia Engine relies on a narrow optimum Peak RPM window to extract Max potential HP/Torque .... ( different from the Power Band which is always occurs over a 3500 RPM range with Exhaust Power Valves set properly)

I am experimenting with pushing the Peak RPM up ( = very small HP increase - small Torque drop) which can be done by changing the Length/Shape of the Pipe.

This allows me to use different Gearing ..... It is all a Juggle to see if I can find an extra couple of MPH .....

All will be revealed on Thursday at Speedweek :D

The new Gravity Feed Ball Valves arrived .....

The single "1/4"NPT" Valve I used in 2017 only had a 2.5mm hole inside the Valve ....

I went up a size 3/8"NPT (the one with the US Solid one) but it still only has 4.5mm hole inside .....

I have since found out they are Pressure/Pump Valves ..... :roll:

So I found the correct Gravity Feed Valves, they have a straight through 10mm hole ....

I am fitting 2 in order to "future proof" the engine when I stop using Leaded Gasoline :evil: .....

Hey there Pete

No plans for a Fairing until I max out the speed, as it is, the chassis is still an unknown thing at this point ......

Also I want to get a Non Aero Baseline Max Speed ....

After that if my non existent Budget miraculously changes and allows for the making of a Fairing,

I can actually see what difference it and each part of it actually makes ....
