Holy Gorgonzola!!!!

That looks fantastic!

I am very interested to hear how you go with the Megasquirt. I have assembled one for the tank (and the farm VN wagon) but have yet to attach it...

Great progress Gary.

That's a helluva bike, Gary. Must be a wild ride. What engine is it? The only other question I'll ask for now is are you sure no salt will get into the turbo intake? I was thinking that salt coming off the top of the tire as it leaves the mudguard and hits the air stream (at double actual road speed) might spray around a bit in all directions.

Hey Rev ,Its not using a megasquirt ,has an old haltech F9 ,I was after a base map as a starting point ,no help from haltech so I had to do it all myself  amoung the many calculations one was VE and I have /had no idea what its VE is at each rpm range , googled ve calculators and got a megasquirt calc ,I entered all the data required and it was not able to give me a ve table as it was beyond its range (to high)
spent last W/E slaving over a hot calculator , I have made a base map and installed it ,this W/E will tell if I was somewhere in the ball park .if not its back to the drawing board , keeping fingers crossed but Im not expecting to get it right first time
I dont know about your good self ,but Im tounging for a salt fix
cheers

I notice you're using a Haltech computer ....which made me curious.....Remember the computer on board the spaceship in "2001 a Space Odyssey"?.......I can just see it now ....Gary blasting down the salt and he hears this deep calming voice say "Gary , I've taken control of the craft , I'm turning up the boost .......nitrous on now....I have disabled the brakes"

2008 a salt odyssey

Gary the first time i started my bike it was with a calculated map
it was easier than yours may be as i had dyno figures from a similar built bike . but all i did was roughed out 5cc/hp/min into a millisecond/rev figure for petrol, you will be looking at around 12.5cc/hp/min for alky.

The chalk board they're supposed to fill in for a run?

BTW - The engine management on the motor for the Shaguar is also a Haltech with an Electromotive box running the ignition...
