So John, did the change from LSD to spool make a difference?

Hard to tell. The car did not drive as well as last time, which is saying something, as last time wasn't all that flash.
However, the track was not exactly in pristine condition.
When I swapped the front and rear wheels around, I had no handling problems at all. Put the bigger tyes on the rear again, and it kept taking off sideways. It was only evident at full noise, but with such a long throttle cable, it is very hard to feed throttle in smoothly.

I can't see any difference between a spool or a LSD on the track. The spool makes it harder to push around, but in a straight line they should be the same.
