hi all, flew back from work on the 18th, The planes are flying more northerly an lower for some reason, but i get to see the canteen and tracks leading in there (think ive even worked out where the DLRA camp is) anyway the salt looks very white and inviting, lower down the lake a couple of kms at least its very broke an chopped up by the looks but thats a lot lower than where speedweek is run, my brother is working at the same mine as me and will be flying out the wednesday of speedweek so he will be able to take some pictures as the plane flys over, Graeme #613

Just jumped on the radar & it looks like local rain up there, but very scattered.
Any news........... Plucka??
Our local publican also owns/runs the Wudinna Pub so I will have to ask him.
Not stressing yet, just keeping an eye out.
Cheers.

I hope with all this rain happening over NSW and Qld that we don't have a rerun of 2011!

From memory I think the lake is isolated as far as recieveing water from far off catchments, but with it raining everywhere around Oz almost constantly it is depressing.

Don't confuse the northern weather with whats happening down here , mostly dry in comparison ,as long as the cyclone off WA doesn't bring in too much wet weather , and even then the evaporation rate will have it well gone in the next month +

Nonning is a pretty good indicator of whats happening in the region
