Re: Bike: Roller or Racer

Hey Jimmy " I'm looking for a bike to race" That covers a lot of ground. Best get the rule book (download) and have a look at the classes and records. Some classes are open ( no record set) some are doable and some are hard. Modified class is your best bet. You can ride a street bike with ...

Re: APS/G 250

Hey Pete
Good to see you found an error. The tuned length should stay the same with single or multiple cone diffuser.
You can design and print the cones to bend in MOTA. Set the desired angle and number of pieces and press go.

Re: APS/G 250

Hey Pete Have you thought about using a single diffuser cone? Isn't the theory the single cone will give you a stronger returning wave at the expense of a narrower power band so hopefully more HP? If the RPM drop at each gear change is not too much it should work. I recently finished a set of pipes ...

Re: PLEASE HELP ME WITH BIKE CLASSIFICATION

Hey Jamie
Good to have another TZ out at the lake.
I don't want to jinx you, but the 250 A records are very dooable.
Just remember to start RICH. It is wide open for a LONG time
The V twin will go well. I keep thinking about making a chassis for my A model.

Re: Shaguar

Hey Gaz Have you thought of using a mechanical fuel pump for the injection? The volume of fuel needed will be huge. The mechanical pump flow will increase as the engine revs increase and the demand increases. The electric pumps do the opposite. This works very successfully with a mates turbo bike I'...

Re: FEET FORWARD AG1350

Oh, now I see. that's much better. What kingpin angle are you going to use? With the LCR type sidecar chassis we used down to 5* for the steering hub. Steering was light enough and sometimes a bit twitchy. With 10* (maybe) the steering was heavy but stable. This was with an 8" tire See you at t...

Re: FEET FORWARD AG1350

Harky This is looking a bit queer---- hammock like--- but very interesting. :D For some constructive criticism. What is it like if you put some weight between the rider and front suspension? Is it a bit springy? Are you going to bring a bike to SW? I've been trying to do Russell's thing with the alu...

Johno,
If some of the frame has holes from rust, what is the rest of it like?
My experience with rust is you have to cut a a bunch to find good material.

Re: theTRUTH

Hey Russelle Look for Purple Sage Trading Post. Sumner has loads of info on his site. I want to do the heat exchanger deal on the new bike. I will try for 20L ( much smaller engine) I was also thinking a pump to circulate the water within the tank. My tank will be under the bike. What does the artic...

Re: theTRUTH

Hi Russell
How about a heat exchanger inside the water tank. Then the tank will not need to hold pressure.
Did you end up moving? I'll visit soon.

PS . Use the Bussa Russell. :D
