Work has started on Shaguar Mark 2.
I have purchased a stroker Tom Walkinsaw Racing TWR crank that should give me 7 to 7.3 litres after rebore. Exact combo is yet to be determined but I will be using 6 inch Chev rods with forged Pistons. Still yet to decide whether centrifugal supercharger or twin turbos. My preference would be a Procharger at this point. A million things to get right before I need to make that decision though. Not much will remain stock. Oil system, cooling system, intake and exhaust will all need work as will fuel. I want to run a distributor less coil pack but think I will still need a cam sync signal as well as a crank ref signal with a new Motec. I don't know why I do this to myself!

I don't know why I do this to myself!
To quote that great folk singer of our times:

"Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on"

Miley Cyrus - The Climb

I'm sure you play it late at night down in the shed - on your own....

and I was racking my brain with Led Zepplin, ACDC, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple lyrics.
Miley- I don't think so.
Back to business- I am dropping off a Chev to Toploader Lakewood scattershield, a clutch/pressure plate and a ring gear for Jeff Dellow to do some work on so I can mate the Doug Nash 4+1 gearbox up to the V12. I will be looking around for a hydraulic thrust race bearing shortly. The reviews on the Howe bearing are not good (leaking). Are there any other brands people could recommend?

Led Zep - Immigrant Song

"Ah-ah-ahhhh-ah, ah-ah-ahhh-ah"

AC/DC - Heatseeker

"I gotta keep that motor turnin'
I gotta keep that engine clean
I gotta keep those tyres burnin'
I got the best you've ever seen
And I'm a heatseeker"

Deep Purple - Highway Star (what else)

"Nobody gonna take my car
I'm gonna race it to the ground
Nobody gonna beat my car
It's gonna break the speed of sound
Oooh it's a killing machine
It's got everything
Like a driving power big
fat tyres and everything"

Pink Floyd - Learning to fly

"Easy on the brakes. Take it easy. Its gonna roll this time.
Just hand the power gradually, and it..."

...and your still asking questions?
It is just being put back together now. It will go back into my Falcon two door, 'OVAKIL' and I will get it back on the rubber road to freedom!
...so easy?
no, not really. Getting it legally registered these days will be a bit of an effort but
... with a piece from here.. and a a a a piece from there...
it will happen. Not overnight, but it will happen.

Actually I never ran with a bonnet and never got one 'canary'.
The eighties were great times!
