Was playing tourist guide to an Aussie visitor last week , so what better excuse than do a visit 90 mile beach , what a surface , looong and flat .
Heres a short video . Where Wizard Smith attempted world speed record in 1932 , he got up to around 220 mph.

Well i was being a smarty at the RSL club other day , and said to some kiwis that one day NZ will be Aussies 7th state , to which i got the best reply " too late bro , we got nth island , sth island and west island (OZ)allready "

g'day Don, i consider the north Home ,although I have been over here in Skippy land forever.
I see you are entrenched in the kawa kawa railway scene. I am old enough to remember seeing k loco's pulling trains of Stock through the main street and the fire engine was a 1934 Ford V8 .

You probably know my old boss from 30 something years ago,Dennis Hewitt aka Dodo .
It's good to See Gabriel steaming again, my old man saw her about 6 or 7 years ago and it wasn't a pretty sight.

Yah DLRA in Paihia NZ .. Well actually DLRA member Dennis Campbell and his good lady paid us a visit . They even ate part of the 8 lb snapper I caught and some of the local oysters . good to have you here .

Drove past Oxley then the Archerfield Airdrome today and thought "I wonder if the old fart can still form a sentence". :P

Gday . Yep I rmember when we set off the nieghbours smoke alarm when we had one of our DLRA barbies at my workshop . Well the firies got a free sausage sizzle .
Wots this east island business , Kiwis call OZ their west island .

BEWARE we are paying a visit to BRIZZY 15th- 29th August . The purpose of this visit , is to annoy the heck out of friends and sundry and stock up on some sunny rain free days .
So want to catch up with ewes ppl .
