Safety requirements or I/PRO

Post by poeee »

I've read the rules on roll cages a few times, but i'm a little confused (not hard for this n00b!).

What are the minimum requirement for a small capacity production class in which the record in Australia is under 100mph?

I am basically after some kind of diagram of the min. req. or a photo of a cage/rollbar in/out a car.

its all there in black and white. All G,H.I,J and K (.50 l to 2.00 l) engine classes where existing record is under 175 mph may use a tubing size of no less than 1.5" od X 0.095""wall thickness. The roll cage its self min 4 point with a taxi bar and diagonal.

I re-read it, and decided that something like this would be close, but needs a horizontal bar between the two rear legs so the harness can be mounted to it?

you need to read the rule book very carefully because in the seat belt section it says to mount the harness as close to the seat as possible, the harness bar is best to go across the main hoop and not between the rear stays.
