...few understand what I'm trying to do , but they vastly outnumber those who understand why..

Little more progress, engine in, headers mounted, spare wheels on (good wheels have been lightened,have no brake rotor mounts and are a metallic bronze)
Body work test fitted....
If I don't go for a ride I will have them mounted properly tomorrow.
The fairings are going dark metallic blue.

So are you going to run APS/F or MPS/F ?
Is it more than 10% longer than standard
and somewhere in 7.F.12 it says There shall be no streamlining other than a seat or tail section to the rear of the rider’s body,
and the seat/tail section may not cover any of the wheel when viewed from the side.

The wheelbase is less then 10% longer than the original bike I measured with the wheel as far back as possible.
The seat will need to be cut out around the wheel yet, that was just a dummy fit and it's being mounted properly today.

Foot pegs mounted in new spot.
Rear body work is mounted, front is half done. Looks no different tho.

looks good
just be sure you have absolute symmetry in your fairing fit
we had a handling problem last yr that took a 5mm spacer and a couple of strips of zig zag tape to fix

It would be a lot easier if the body cut outs were symetrical to start with! It's been a bit of a pain but I think we are getting somewhere now. Should have it mounted today and changed a little, the belly will be a lot narrower and shortened to suit my bike.

Pretty hard to get true symmetry, many fairings are built tight to the bike and have bulges for motor parts and exhaust ,
i think in moderation there not as much influence as a body mounted off centre , or a side wind causing your wheels and body to effectively run diverging paths

The shape is fine, it's just things like the forearm cut outs are different, they will be getting changed before feb anyways.

the forarm covers on ours was one of the areas that gave trouble, slightly different shape from one side to the other, thats where we used the zigzag tape, cut up some duct tape and stuck it on at the last know symmetrical point, hoping to disrupt and detatch the air and it have less influence on the last few cm
It worked , Kim went from a cautious 175 and handling badly to the quickest runs she or the bike had ever done , topping at 238mph and still very stable

After cutting.
Body work fitted properly now with my belly pan made up.
Still need to finish my dummy tank shell then my body work is all done.
