Chassis and Steering

Post by Stayt`ie »

In the SCTA and also the DLRA rule book at the end of rule 7.B.19, (DLRA, page 49) it states :- "A functional shock absorber is required for each sprung wheel",, :? ,, is this saying that suspenshion is required,, or,, that you cant just have a spring in there,, :?: :?: ,, Graham, Gary,, somewon,,,,,

I wouldn't know but the wording suggests you only need a shocker if the wheel is sprung :!:, it doesn't say it must be sprung  I would suggest if it's not sprung, ie rigid, no shocker would be required and would be pretty useless if the wheel was unsprung anyway

staytíe, trev got it right it means you must have a working shockie if you have suspension ..... you can run a hardtail if you desire .... my personal choice is a hard rear and a sprung front

Yes, correct. Suspension is not mandatory. If it is then you need a shockie.
